Project description
In mid-2018, the Brandenburg district of Dahme-Spreewald (LDS) initiated a study for the development of strategic goals for the southern region. As a logical consequence and further development of the findings gained in this study, a strategic framework for the entire district is now being developed with the district development concept (KEK). The scope of this is much broader than that of the South Region Study For eight subject areas ranging from mobility to nature conservation and the economy, goals are defined for how the district can (further) develop successfully up to the year 2030. guidelines and a mission statement are also developed for this purpose. together with a broad public, a sustainable image of the LDS is drawn up.
As a result, the CEC provides an important building block for district development and the work of the administration and all relevant actors.
Within the framework of the project, I carry out as a freelancer, in close coordination and division of labour with the contractors, the data research and data preparation for numerous indicators for the status quo analysis. in addition to desktop research, GIS and the use of alternative (online) data sources are also used. selectively, I then support the development of the strategic guidelines and contribute my experience from the Southern Region study to the draft of the mission statement.
